general planGENERAL PLAN

A general plan is like a compass that directs city officials in their decisions regarding Duchesne's future.  Section 10-9a-403 of Utah state law requires all cities within the state to have a general plan.  The general plan linked below is under revision this year (2021) and is open for public comment.  A final hearing to adopt the general plan will occur later this year.  We encourage you to get involved!

In 2020 Duchesne City Planning and Zoning Commission surveyed city residents to determine a vision for the future of Duchesne.  Input was gathered from a detailed questionnaire and visioning events.  Topics of discussion included land use, economic development, city services and public facilities, affordable housing, transportation, recreation, arts and parks, and overall recommendations for the future development of Duchesne.
