Seasonal, Part-time Help

Duchesne City is looking to hire seasonal, part-time help to care for and maintain city property. Applicants will work closely with Duchesne City staff and will receive specific training to perform duties required. Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs., follow verbal and written instructions, work outside in the sun for long periods of time and be able to work independently. Applicants must have a current driver’s license.

Applications can be obtained from the City Office building located at 500 E Main in Duchesne or online at duchesnecity.com and must be completed and returned in person. Applications will be accepted until May 31, 2022 by 4 pm.

Duchesne City is hiring a full-time Grounds and Facilities Maintenance Worker. Responsibilities include but are not limited to year-round maintenance of city utility systems, streets, alleys, greenways, parks, cemeteries, and physical facilities. Candidates must have a current Commercial Driver’s License and be able to lift 50 lbs. Candidates will also be required to obtain water and sewer operator certificates within one year of being hired and attend yearly trainings to keep certifications current. The ideal candidate for this position is an individual with a safe driving record and experience operating backhoes and dump trucks; dedicated to providing excellent customer service; motivated with a positive, can-do attitude; works well independently or as part of a team; is reliable; and is willing to learn new trades or skills.

 

Duchesne City is hiring a full-time Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities include but are not limited to supervising the maintenance staff of city utility systems, streets, alleys, greenways, parks, cemeteries, and physical facilities. Candidates must have a current Commercial Driver’s License and be able to lift 50 lbs. Candidates should have or be able to quickly obtain all water and sewer operator certifications required by the State of Utah for municipalities the size of Duchesne City and be able to attend yearly trainings to keep certifications current. The ideal candidate for this position is an individual that works well as a team leader; maintains a safe driving record; has experience operating backhoes and dump trucks; provides excellent customer service; motivates with a positive, can-do attitude; is consistent and reliable; and fosters a safety-conscious work environment.
